A fourth-generation musician, Dr. Angie Zhang is an internationally acclaimed soloist as well as a sought-after educator. Hailed by NY Concert Review as "warmly expressive, sensitive, and polished," she is recognized as "a valuable advocate for classical music." Demonstrating equal prowess on modern and historical keyboards, her deep artistry and command of a variety of instruments have caught the attention of diverse audiences and presenters. While equally at ease conveying the essence of an array of composers, she has garnered consistent praise for her Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin. She became the first and only American to take home a top prize in the Chopin International Piano Competition on Period Instruments in Warsaw and was awarded the best Beethoven Duo Sonata Prize and Audience Prize at the last edition of the Honens Competition. She has soloed more than 35 times with orchestras since her debut at age 10 and continues to concertize and give masterclasses around the world. She is a 2025 Finalist for the American Piano Awards.
