Chanel Wang, was born in LA and raised in Taiwan. She started playing the piano at the age of three, had her first solo debut at six. Chanel won her first Gold medal in 2008 at the Vienna International Piano Competition. In 2010, she participated in the Kawai International Piano competition where she received the First prize and her first scholarship. She won the Taiwan-Asia International Competition and the Yamaha Piano Competition in 2012 and soon received scholarship awards for both events. She presented recitals at the Taipei National Concert Hall in 2014 and 2015. During 2014, she participated in the Steinway Young Artist International Competition and was selected as a finalist. With her acceptance to the Juilliard Pre-college Division, she moved to New York in 2015. In 2016, Chanel was selected as a competitor in the 2016 Gina Bachauer International Young Artist Piano Competition. She has performed in concert halls such as Merkin Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Paul Hall, New York Opera Center, and the Taipei National Concert Hall in Taiwan. Chanel is currently studying at the Juilliard School BMA program with Dr. Matti Raekallio.
