Ziyao Chelsea Guo studies piano with Hung-Kuan Chen in the Juilliard School. A Young Scholar of the Lang Lang Foundation and four year recipient of the Chopin Foundation Scholarship, she has been a prize winner at the Ettlingen International Piano Competition, the Young Artists Concerto Competition at Piano Texas, and the Juilliard Precollege Piano Competition. She has appeared with the Ft. Worth Symphony under the baton of Barry Douglas, Torun Symphony, Midwest Young Artists Symphony in Chicago, Tianjin Symphony Orchestra, and Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. In the 2019 season, Chelsea gave five recitals with the Mozarteum Summer Concert Series and the Impromptus Concert Series of NY. A guest artist of the Shenzhen Piano Music Festival and the Inaugural Leeds Piano Festival, she toured China with six concerts and gave recitals at Wigmore Hall and Howard Assembly Room in England. She has performed in Stern Auditorium and Weill Hall of Carnegie Hall, Harris Concert Hall, Millennium Park, Wiener Saal, Frohnburg Palace, Shenzhen Concert Hall, Tianjin Concert Hall etc. Her radio appearances have included NPR and New York Public Radio WQXR.
