Tickets On Sale For The 10th National Chopin Piano Competition In Miami

We are pleased to announce that tickets are now on sale for the 10th National Chopin Piano Competition. The last three days of the competition require tickets to be purchased in advance, so beat the rush and buy them now!

The competition venue is the Miami-Dade County Auditorium, 2901 W. Flagler Street, Miami, FL 33135.

With world-class culture, dining, and art, Miami is a fabulous backdrop for the competition. The Preliminaries, Quarter and Semi-Finals (February 22-27) are FREE to the public no tickets or reservations are required. The final three days are ticketed events: Anniversary Gala Concert (February 28); Finals Part One (February 29); and Finals Part Two and Awards Ceremony (March 1).

Anniversary Gala Concert

At 8 PM Friday, February 28, join us for the Anniversary Gala Concert celebrating the 10th National Chopin Piano Competition and promoting the 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. This special concert features Yulianna Avdeeva, First Prize-winner of the International Competition (2010). Presented in collaboration with the Fryderyk Chopin Institute.

Finals, Part One

At 7 PM Saturday, February 29, Marzena Diakun conducts the Frost Symphony Orchestra as the finalists perform Chopin piano concertos. Underwritten by Joseph & Ligia Wiegand Family Foundation in Memory of Joseph Wiegand.

Finals, Part Two and Awards Ceremony

At 3 PM Sunday, March 1, Marzena Diakun conducts the Frost Symphony Orchestra as the finalists perform Chopin piano concertos. An Awards Ceremony follows the performance, announcing the winner of the $100,000 first prize, the highest award offered by any piano competition in the country. Underwritten by Joseph & Ligia Wiegand Family Foundation in Memory of Joseph Wiegand.

 

Watch some of America’s most talented young pianists perform works by Chopin and compete for the top prize of $100,000. All finalists advance to the 18th International Chopin Competition in Warsaw.
