Born in Chicago and raised in France, Paul Ji speaks five languages and believes classical music is a bridge to unite all people. He released his solo album Piano with Warner Classics at 16, after winning France 2’s National Prodiges Competition in 2019. A Young Steinway Artist, he has been reported by media such as BBC, Le Figaro, Le Parisien, Elle, and collaborated with Sarah Brightman in her album France. Paul graduated from Eton College as a Music Scholar and now studies at Yale University with Wei-Yi Yang while Majoring in Music and Philosophy. He received the “Artist Diploma” from École Normale de Musique de Paris, studying with French pianist and conductor Jean-Bernard Pommier since 2018. Paul has given solo recitals at the Berlin Philharmonie, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, KOKO Theatre in London and has also performed at Carnegie Hall in New York, Hamburg Laeiszhalle at the Steinway International Music Festival, Annecy Music Festival in France, Chopin Centre in Szafarnia, Poland and more. After winning the Virtuoso & Belcanto Concerto Competition, Paul was invited to perform Chopin’s Concerto No. 2 at the Berlin Philharmonie with Maestro Stanley Dodds.
