Victor Xie currently studies under both Alexander Korsantia and Victor Rosenbaum at the New England Conservatory of Music. Victor established himself early as a young artist through a myriad of competitions. At the MostArts Competition and Festival in 2015 where he placed second, Victor’s concerto won the audience favorite prize. He performed the complete Saint-Saëns Concerto No.2 with the California Youth Symphony in two concerts as the winner of the Young Artist’s Solo Competition. He also performed with the Mercury Orchestra at Sanders Theatre, Harvard University as the winner of the Foundation for Chinese Performing Arts Concerto Competition. In the summer of 2019, Victor attended New Paltz Piano Summer. This unique festival brought him invaluable renewed inspiration towards music and composition. Beyond classical music, Victor has an interest for languages, and enjoys all types of friendly competition.
