A student at Phillips Academy Andover, a CDB Scholar, and a 4-year recipient of the Chopin Foundation Scholarship, William began studying piano at age four. He has since appeared with eight orchestras, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Boston Pops, the Frost Chopin Festival Chamber Orchestra, the Bravura Philharmonic, and NEC-Prep’s Youth Symphony. William has performed across the United States and Europe, including two solo recitals in the 2023-2024 “Chopin for All” concert series and an appearance on NPR’s From the Top. He won top prizes at the MTNA National Senior Piano Competition and Jacob Flier International Piano Competition, and has received scholarships to many renowned festivals, including the Cliburn International Junior Piano Festival, Morningside Music Bridge, PianoSummer at New Paltz, Art of the Piano, and the Frost Chopin Academy. William currently studies piano with Jonathan Bass and Dang Thai Son. He previously studied with Ya-Fei Chuang, John Perry and Natalie Zhu.
